Welcome to Sirius microSystems
Sirius microSystems specializes in designing and producing embedded control development boards for education. Our current products are based on the Microchip PICmicro® family of microcontrollers, and are designed to help you or your students learn about electronics, interfacing and microcontroller programming through hands-on activities.
CHRP 3

CHRP 3.0
Our newest CHRP board is a great choice for learning PICmicro® programming for either Micorchip's mid-range PIC16F886 or the high-end PIC18F25K50 microcontrollers. Like all of the CHRPs before it, it's designed so you can start simply and grow as you learn.
CHRP 2

CHRP 2.0
CHRP stands for Common Hardware Robotics Project. CHRP grows with you as you learn about microcontrollers, robotics, and computer interfacing. It's a great starting point if you want to learn all about PICmicro® programming and make your own projects.
WAND

WAND
Are you dreaming of a simple, inexpensive and fun circuit to learn about microcontrollers? Just wave the magic* WAND and your dreams become reality. (*Ok, it's not magic, but the Wave A Neat Display circuit is a great, simple introduction to microcontrollers.)
UFO

UFO
It's round and has flashing lights. It must be an Unidentified Flashing Object! The UFO is a simple circuit that uses a microcontroller to flash LED lights. UFO is a fun and easy beginner project that's also easily hackable.
Details coming soon.
BMP

BMP
If you program it right, it may go BMP in the night. The Basic Multipurpose Project was designed for a technology camp and can be built as six different projects using one circuit board to save costs.
Details coming soon.

What's new?
2013-5-21 - Introducing a fun tool to teach the basics of programming. Check out our mouse programming simulator and experience how complex programming problems are solved using programs composed of simple instructions.
2012-12-7 - The prototype CHRP 3.0 boards are up and running in both PIC16F886 and PIC18F25K50 versions. We're really excited about some new developments coming for this board soon.
2012-10-28 - Getting the CHRP 3.0 ready for manufacturing. It'll support the PIC16F886, just like the CHRP 2.0, as well as the new PIC18F25K50 with USB!
2010-07-22 - Working on the new WAND circuit in preparation for my PIC assembly code presentations at the CEMC Summer Institute <csteachers.ca>, August 4-6.
2010-03-20 - Working on a solar-powered lead-acid battery charger/monitor circuit. Why? I need a way to power my family camping adventures when I'm off the grid.
2009-09-24 - Getting ready to place a CHRP 2.0 order. The minimum order from our pcb supplier is around 100 boards. Many schools don't need that many circuit boards. So, I will pool the requests from all interested parties so that we can order in bulk. The bigger the order, the lower the cost per board. If you are interested in using the CHRP, please email with your anticipated order quantity and I'll give you the details.
